MO Better Foundation is developing portable Smart Home Demo Kits that occupational therapists and other professionals can use with people living with physical disabilities to explore and try practical smart home technology.

How the Demo Kits are Used
The Demo Kits are designed for occupational therapists and other professionals to use directly with people living with physical disabilities. Rather than recommending technology based only on a description or diagnosis, the kits allow the person and professional to explore options together and see what works in real life.
The process starts with the person: What do you want to do that is difficult today? From there, they can try different devices, controls and approaches to find practical solutions that support greater independence.
Who Can Use the Demo Kits?
The Smart Home Demo Kits are intended for occupational therapists and other professionals working with people living with physical disabilities.
They can be used during assessments, demonstrations, training or other opportunities to explore practical technology solutions.
The kits are portable, making it possible to bring the technology to the person rather than requiring the person to travel somewhere just to see or try it.
