 MO BETTER FRIENDS

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS GROUP

Overview

Comprised of a group of spirited and dedicated volunteers aged 21-35, the mission of MO Better Friends (MoBF) is to engage and inspire young professionals and other interested parties to participate in philanthropic and leadership endeavors while building awareness of MO Better Foundation and its important mission. Specifically, MoBF:

  • Help increase general awareness in community – identify and assist MO Better staff at volunteer and resource fairs, Employee fairs, etc.)

  • Create MO Better Friends (MoBF) Speakers bureau to help boost awareness among young professionals

  • Social media – maintain MoBF social media efforts

  • Fund raising – create new MoBF sponsored event(s); assist in existing MO Better events

  • Help MoBF staff develop stronger corporate connections/support

Benefits to MoBF Members

  • Have a strong voice in shaping the direction of MoBF and assist in taking MO Better to the next level

  • Network with other young professionals, MO Better Foundation board members, committees, volunteers, and donors at special events

  • Participate in creative brainstorming to challenge generational ideas and advance current resources for the organization

  • Build partnerships within the group to explore professional skills and receive valuable experience

  • Take on leadership roles within one of Missouri’s premier nonprofit organizations

  • Have your involvement recognized on the MO Better webpage

  • Opportunity to assist at MO Better Foundation fundraisers

  • Discounts on MO Better Foundation fundraising events including gala, festivals, etc.

Expectation of MoBF Members

  • Attend a reasonable number of MoBF meetings

  • Assist in the planning and execution of at least one MoBF-sponsored event/fundraiser

  • Serve as an advocate for the organization in the community by recruiting at least one member to the MoBF

  •  Support and/or attend at least one MO Better special events (i.e.,fundraiser, kick-off event, “meet-and-greet” event)
